Shawl Ministry
meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00
a.m. in the Fireside Room. This ministry is a knitting circle
where participants create shawls that are sent out as a mantle of caring
for the persons who receive them. Shawls are symbolic of a loving
God as they wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, mother, hug,
shelter and beautify. [Back^]
Bell Choir
practices on Tuesdays at 6:00/7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. [Back^]
Bible Study meetings are on Wednesdays
at 7:00 p.m. in the Connector. (Tuesdays during the summer.) This study is intended to deepen
our understanding of Scripture and be a discussion of how to apply what
is written in the Holy Bible to our lives. [Back^]
Bible
Explorers meets on Mondays at 3:30 p.m. Children in third
grade are invited to participate in a special Bible class designed just
for them. Our goal is to bring each child to an understanding of
how the Bible is organized and how to use the Bible as a resource in
their lives using games, crafts, worship, and computers. [Back^]
Wednesday's
Pals
meet on alternating Wednesdays at 2:50 p.m. Children in
4th grade are invited to participate. [Back^]
Mid-Week Peak meets on alternating
Wednesdays at 2:50 p.m. Children in 5th and 6th grades are invited
to participate. Games, crafts, Bible study, and service projects
keep the group active and growing in their relationships with one
another and with the church community. [Back^]
Junior Choirs
meet each Sunday in the Conference Room at 11:15. Under the
direction of our Christian Education Music Directors, three different
choir opportunities are available for children. Junior Choir
is available for children in Kindergarten through third grade.
Practice is directly after church school for a half-hour. Children
will have their own coffee hour snacks in their practice areas.
Middle Choir is for children in 4th through 6th grades and will
utilize various performance arts techniques including sign language,
skits, instruments and more. Teen Choir is for students in
7th through 8th grades. This choir will sing gospel and
contemporary Christian music. The choirs will participate in
morning worship and in the children's worship on selected Sundays
throughout the year. [Back^]
Senior Choir
meets Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. The choir sings at all 10:00 a.m. Sunday
worship services from September through early June, plus Christmas Eve.
(Soloists and instrumentalists provide music during the 9:00 a.m. summer
worship services.) [Back^]
Junior and
Senior High Youth Groups meet alternating Sundays at 5:30 p.m. Junior High
Fellowship is a youth group for young people in 7th and 8th grades.
This group begins to focus more on community service, but remains full
of fun with games, field trips, and food. Senior High
Fellowship, for high-school-aged youth, has a three-fold focus of
fellowship, outreach, and personal growth. Games, fellowship,
videos, discussions, mission projects and a mission trip in the summer
keep the group active and committed. [Back^]
Confirmation
is open to all students presently in the 9th grade. Students
register with the Associate Minister and attend classes after worship
from January through May. Classes, reflective journaling,
work/service projects, and developing relationships with others in the
church are important parts of confirmation. [Back^]
Monthly Committee Meetings: Christian Education, Church
Council, Crafters, Diaconate, Missionary, Music, Nominating, Prayer
Chain, Social Concerns, Trustees. All are invited to attend.
